You, like many other people, are holding on to negative thoughts about yourself. Thoughts such as “I could never get that job, or “I’ll never be rich”. These self-destructive thoughts unfortunately hold you back from realizing your true potential. And, the sad thing about it, these thoughts are all just in your head. Believe me when I say, you are awesome! You just need to erase that negativity and believe in yourself.

I’ve got good news for you. You CAN become the very best version of yourself. To help you get there, here are 5 things which you can start doing today that will position you for success and get you what you want and deserve from life. Read them, review them, and do as they tell you, and you can have an amazing life!
1. Believe that if they can do it, you can too
Self-destructive thoughts have developed through your lifetime by the constant trash talking you’ve been doing to yourself. You’ve seen other people achieve success (by however you define it), and you’ve been jealous of their success. What you haven’t stopped to think about is what they did to be successful. Assuming their success was legally obtained, did you ever stop to think that they put in a lot of hard work and made a lot of sacrifices in order to taste success? Did it cross your mind that they refused to quit on their efforts until they got what they wanted? Probably not. You’ve just been too busy feeling sorry for yourself and whining about what you don’t have.
All humans are created equal. Even if you grew up in an impoverished environment, there is nothing to stop you from achieving whatever you desire. If opportunity has never presented itself in front of you, go knocking down doors and make that opportunity appear for you. Others have done it, why not you?
There are countless success stories out there. There is therefore no need to reinvent the wheel. As a matter of fact, you will save yourself some valuable time by looking at what others have done to be successful, emulate them, and learn from their mistakes so that you know what to do and what not to do.
Don’t get me wrong. You may have to get out of your comfort zone and do the things that make you feel uneasy. But that shouldn’t be a problem. If you have not achieved what you wanted from life by remaining in your comfort zone, then maybe it’s time you did something that you dread doing. You deserve more from life, so go after it.
2. Eliminate “I can’t” from your vocabulary
Have you ever heard of the saying: “If you believe you can’t, you are right, and if you believe you can, you are also right”? That is no joke my friend. You need to stop sabotaging your efforts and erase “I can’t” completely from your vocabulary. Every time you think of saying “I can’t”, try to catch yourself before the words leave your mouth and change the phrase to “I can, and I will!”.
I can get fit! I will get fit! I can be rich! I will be rich! And don’t just say the words. Feel the words. Get emotional about it and visualize yourself achieving that which you truly desire.
I’m serious. Practice doing this and watch as your amazing self begins to shine.
3. Focus and you can achieve whatever you want
What is it that you want to achieve in your life? Do you know? If you don’t, then NOW is as good a time as ever to find out what it is. This has to do with your life’s purpose. You were meant to live an awesome life. You were meant to achieve the things that you truly desire. But, if you don’t know what you desire, then how do you expect to achieve them? Take some time to reflect on this, and truly focus. Please do this, it really helps.
Once you have clarity on what your heart truly desires, write it down. You heard me, write down your goals on paper. Write them big, bright and large. Make them so vivid that there is no way you’ll ever forget what they are. Look at them every day, preferably last thing at night before you go to bed and first thing in the morning when you awaken. Adding images to the paper is a fantastic idea. It will give your goals personality and make them come to life. This is the same principle that people use to make vision boards. And trust me, vision boards work.
Writing down your goals and doing nothing will accomplish just that, nothing. So, don’t stop there, write a plan. How are you going to achieve these goals and by when? Write that down. And then execute! And by execute, I don’t want you to take mediocre steps. No. Use your awesomeness to take massive action towards achieving those goals. Put in a big effort and nothing less.
4. Surround yourself with positive people
There is truth to the expression: “Show me your friends, show me who you are”. If you want success, then you must surround yourself with successful people or people who want success and are willing to act towards achieving success. Stay away from negative thinking people. Their negative vibrations will work against you and cause you not to achieve your dreams.
Some of these naysayers are just too lazy to take action and will try to encourage you not to as well. They’ll tell you that you are wasting your time. Just ignore them and stay focused on your goals.
5. Don’t Quit
Last, but not least, don’t quit. When the going gets tough, the tough gets going. Believe that you are tough, act tough and be tough. While executing your plan, you will no doubt face obstacles. There will always be bills to pay, and other things that stand in the way of your success. That’s only natural. But just don’t give up. You will be hurting yourself if you do that. Recognize that these are just temporary setbacks than will be overcome.
Do not focus on what you do not have but focus instead on your goals and executing your plan towards achieving those goals. Go at your goals with an obsession that nothing can stop you.
Remember that you are a WINNER, and winners always win!
